A Roller Bearing, is a bearing which carries the load by placing rolling elements between two bearing rings.
Roller can be in shape of CYLINDRICAL, TAPER, or SPHERICAL in shape. Depending on the load carrying direction they can further classified into radial and thrust roller bearing.
Roller bearings have more load carrying capacity when compared to ball bearings since the contact area between roller and raceway is more. Having more number of contact points results in lower speeds as compared to Ball Bearings.
