As the name suggests Needle Roller Bearings are bearings that have long, thin cylindrical rollers resembling needles, so they are known as Needle Roller bearings.
Their Load carrying capacity is more compared to standard Roller Bearings and Ball Bearings as they can have more number of rollers in a smaller area. Having more number of contact points results in lower speeds as compared to Ball Bearings. Depending on the load carrying direction they can further classified into radial and thrust roller bearing.
